Rusty  is a technology and engineering teacher at Gloucester High School and Page Middle School. He has coached the high school VEX robotics team for six years. He has also coached the SeaPerch team at the High School for the two years they have competed. He has had a team participate in VEX World Competition for 4 years in a row and SeaPerch Nationals for 2 years. He has been teaching for 19 years and uses Project Lead the Way curriculum in his classroom.

Kim has a full time job. She has just started co-coaching the teams this year. She has two kids involved with robotics,one at Gloucester High School, and one at Page Middle School, and volunteers at all fundraisers and team activities.

Mentor

Payton has now graduated from Gloucester High School and has came back to help mentor the team. She was a member of the GHS robotics team for 4 years. She participates in both the Vex Robotics program and Seaperch; having gone to 2 National events for Sesperch and one Worlds event for VEX. Her main role on her team is designing as well as building. In her 2012-2013 year in Seaperch her team, Team Nautilus, won 1st place in the Obstacle Course Challenge  and the Deep Water Transfer, 2nd in the Poster Challenge, and they won 1st overall at the competition. In the 2013-2014 Seaperch season her team, Team Aegir, won 1st place in the Obstacle Course and in The Heist Challenge, 2nd place for Poster, and 1st place overall. At the National competition for Seaperch they won 1st place in The Heist Challenge and 3rd in the Obstacle Course. In the 2013-2014 VEX season her team won the Amaze Award at the State Competition and they brought home the Create Award from the Worlds event. She is the co-designer of the team website.

Mentor

Dalton has now graduated from Gloucester High School and has come back to help mentor the team. Dalton has participated with robotics since 8th grade with Mind-storm Robotics. The team he was on in 8th grade won the honorable mention award at competition. He currently participates with VEX Robotics. He has been on  the high school team for 2 years;  the team he was on 2012-2013 won the “Design Award”. The team he was on qualified for and competed at the State competition; at state competition they won the “Amaze” award. They then qualified for and competed at the National competition and won the “Create” award in their division.
